Alongside teaching, training, and facilitation, coaching is a distinct learning modality that unlocks insight through thought-provoking dialogue. Because each audience has unique needs, the coaching approach is adapted accordingly. Explore how I apply coaching in each format:
Coaching and Coaching +
Coaching is a space of partnership and possibility. When we work together, you can expect a relationship built on trust, clarity, and deep respect for your potential. As an ICF (International Coaching Federation) certified coach bound by its Code of Ethics and Core Competencies, I practice coaching as a disciplined craft — a partnership grounded in thought-provoking conversations that unlock self-awareness, creativity, and purposeful action. You are the expert in your life and work; my role is to walk alongside you, ask better questions, and hold space for your answers to emerge. This isn’t about giving advice or fixing problems — it’s about discovering the resourcefulness that’s already within you.
At the same time, we all learn differently, and I stay open to what’s needed. Coaching exists on a continuum with other forms of learning and development — mentoring, training, facilitation, advising, teaching. Sometimes, when you’re stuck or curious about what else is possible, you might find inspiration in a fresh perspective or a reframing of the situation. After all, one of the biggest challenges in learning is the “unknown unknowns” — we don’t know what we don’t know. When needed — and only when you ask — I can draw from other learning modalities to support you in a way that fits your context. Over the years, I’ve built a latticework of mental models — a term from Charlie Munger — to support this. You can explore them at agile-od.com/knowledge-base. With flexibility, courage, and compassion, I aim to meet you where you are and support where you’re going.
Full Range of Coaching Formats
I offer the full range of coaching formats — each crafted with flexibility, structure, and clear purpose — to support individuals, teams, and organizations.
Whether you’re growing as a leader or navigating complexity at work, one-on-one coaching provides a personalized space for deep reflection and purposeful action. Learn how I do individual coaching with:
- Leaders and Executives
- Change, Transformation, Innovation Professionals
- Agile Practitioners and Design Thinkers
- Startup Entrepreneurs
From startup co-founders to “team of teams” in large organizations, I support high-performance team development at every scale. Team coaching sits at the core of the team development spectrum — bridging team building, training, facilitation, mentoring, and consulting. Learn how I approach team coaching as a systemic, adaptive practice across the dynamics of individuals and the team as a whole.
A variation of team coaching, this format focuses on teams engaged in structured processes such as Agile, Design Thinking, Design Sprints, and Lean practices — including Kanban, Kaizen and Kata. In this context, coaching naturally overlaps with training, facilitation, and consulting to support both mindset and method. Learn more about how I support process-based team development, or jump straight to my Agile coaching and Design Thinking practices.
Group coaching creates a supportive environment where individuals work on their own goals while learning from others with similar intentions. In organizational settings, it becomes a powerful way to develop talent, foster peer learning, and build cross-functional insight and alignment — often in combination with group training initiatives. Learn how I make group coaching a unique experience that blends individual focus with the power of group learning — transforming shared space into personal growth.
When coaching is sponsored by an organization, I ensure psychological safety and confidentiality for the coachee through clear tri-party agreements between coach, coachee, and sponsor — maintaining trust while keeping the process aligned and professional. I also address the sponsor’s interest in return on investment by measuring coaching impact and learning outcomes using industry best practices. Learn how I oversee sponsored coaching with clear structure and transparency.
Beyond business coaching, I offer life coaching directly to individuals. Trained in Positive Psychology, I employ a strength-based approach that taps into each client’s innate resourcefulness and resilience. Sense-making life’s complexities is a recurring theme, and I enjoy partnering with clients to explore their personal narratives, values, and aspirations. Career Summary
With three decades of front‑line business experience, I began my career as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank, structuring complex deals across Asia‑Pacific. I hold an MBA from INSEAD, where I now lecture, coach, and train in executive programmes, blending the latest insights in management science with everyday, practical application.
